Antique silver flat and hollow ware from our stockA rare memory spoon from Thailand, dated into the 19th century! The shalow bowl is created from an extremely rare silver coin of the King Chulalongkorn Rama V (1868-1910), worth 1/8 Baht, from the year 1876. At the end of the shalow bowl and the twisted handle are in all five silver bullet coins (silver weights) from the time of King Rama IV (1851-1868), which was the regular currency until 1868. From 1868 on (beginning of the reign of Rama V) the silver coins were the new currency. The spoon is a symbolic union of the old and the new currency. Very good condition!
