Gorgeous antique cafe au lait set: a coffee can and a milk can. Round, flat, profiled bases, conical bodies, high domed hinged lids with high knob and s-shaped wooden handles with a gorgeous smooth surface. Coffee pot with long tube spout, milk pot with wide spout. Marked, created by the famous jeweller company Garrard & Co. in London, about 1900. Garrard was 1843-2007 the Crown Jeweller of England and responsible for the Crown Jewels in the Tower. The compady designed the coronation crown for the queen Mary and the Imperial Crown of India for George V. Garrard was given also the responsibility of recut the famous diamond Koh-i-Noor into a brillant and of set it into the queen crown for the coronation on queen Elisabeth (queen mother) in 1937.
