Gorgeous Art Nouveau pendant with rich decoration. Oval shape, filled in the centre with a huge, oval amethyst in bezel setting, surrounded by an ivory frame with scalopped rim and scrolled ends. The pendant rim is delicate and heavy open worked, with arched and spiral elements and small spheres. The pendant is not marked, by the use of bone and the typical spiral carved ends allow attribution to Adolf Mayer sen. in Frankfurt/Germany, about 1920.
