Beautiful cookie jar from the late victorian period. Cylindrical shapa with saucer on spherical feets. Domed hinged lid with high knob. Wall decorated with engravings, front side with engraved monogram "JA" and date "March. 5th. 1890". Lid with delicate engraved frieze. Marked, made probably by Mappin & Webb in Sheffield. Dated 1890. Very good condition
