The napkin rings are so called "Yogya silver" from Jakarta, Indonesia. In 1930 the governors wife suggested to refresh the old silver manufacturing and trade and to create items for European consumers. After the independence of Indonesia 1949 the silver industry flourished well. The napkin rings were created in the 1950ties. They are marked with the initials of the unknown silversmith.
