The company Kolmar & Jourdan AG was founded in 1885 by Emil Kollmar and Wilhelm Jourdan in Pforzheim. The original products were gold-plated nickel chains. Production was soon switched to gold-plated American double chains and the company grew steadily. In 1901, around 400 workers were employed at Kollmar and Jourdan. After the Second World War, the company dedicated itself to the production of genuine jewellery. It existed until 1975.
