Modernistic brooch in 925/- silver
Harrie Lenferink is a visual artist who was born in 1933 in the village of Tubbergen (Twente). In the 1960s he trained as a teacher at the Middeloo Art Academy in Amersfoort. Afterwards he worked for many years as a teacher of fine arts and design. Initially, this jewellery was made of bronze, but he soon specialised in handmade sterling silver jewellery with organic shapes. Many of these jewels have a Scandinavian touch.
Magnificent oval brooch with time of modernism around 1970. Solid silver cast, closed brooch with irregular shaped surface, partly blackened and set with abstract bars. Marked, Harrie Lenferink, probably in the 1970s. Pin catch on the back, condition very good.
