6 Bauhaus Egg Cups on Ball Feet
Fritz August Breuhaus de Groot (09.02.1883 Solingen - 02.12.1960 Rodenkirchen). Breuhaus was a member of the Deutscher Werkbund, and from 1928 also a titular professor. Besides his activities as an architect for country houses and interiors, he designed various objects such as cutlery, lamps, wallpapers and other luxurious household goods, partly for well-known manufacturers such as the WK-Verband, the Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik (WMF) or the Rheinische Tapetenfabrik. Rare Bauhaus set of 6 egg cups on ball feet, designed by Fritz August Breuhaus for WMF in the 1930/40s. Hemispherical cup on three ball feet. Marked with the WMF mark 1935-1045.
