Britanniametall, also called 'Britannium', is a group of pewter alloys with a bluish, silver-white color. The alloy is primarily used for castings, including among others. Tin utensils, ornaments, or buttons.
Magnificent Art Nouveau liqueur carafe from WMF. Geometric shapes alternate with abstract floral decor. Marked, made in WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik), rare WMFB stamp for Britannia-Metall; around 1900. The designers included Hans Peter, Albert Meyer, Hermann Obrist, Albin Müller and Peter Behrens. No chips, age-related patina, collectable!
