Elements of nature such as mythical creatures, plants or even animals are well-known symbols of Art Nouveau.

Garnets were very popular in the 18th and 19th centuries. Especially in jewelry around the turn of the century, you will find many pieces with Bohemian garnets. Often, gems such as garnets in brooches, necklaces or rings were processed. Here, the brooch with the image of an owl through the setting of 37 garnets is clearly staged.
The brooch is in excellent condition and has a designer hallmark. The manufacturer is unfortunately unknown.
