The traditional silver and goldsmith's workshop Bartel & Sohn in Augsburg produced many modernist creations in the 1960s. The company is based in Augsburg's old town in a 15th century house that has always housed silver and goldsmith workshops since it was built.

Splendid pendant or brooch in the style of modernism. Richly openworked abstract leaf and flower form. The blossom set with pearls, the central element set with a domed round amethyst cabochon. Pin catch and eyelet on the back. Marked, made by the silversmith Bartel & Sohn in Augsburg, around 1960. Excellent condition. Without chain.
