Antique necklace in 925/- silver with amethysts and marcasites
Floral jewellery has always been very popular with women. Especially in Art Nouveau and Art Deco, there are numerous creations with elements from the world of plants, sometimes more and sometimes less abstract and set with precious stones and pearls. The name "Flora" is derived from the Latin name of the Roman goddess of flowers and youth.
Lush necklace with floral design: richly openworked blossoms, bouquets and branches set with sparkling marcasites and amethysts. Mounted on a double-strand chain with spring ring clasp. Made around 1920.
