Wonderful german Jugendstil jardiniere. Oval shape with waving contour and rims. Two handles in the shape of abstract asian dragons. On the walls, surrounded by delicate flowering cherry branches, two figures of womens in asian clothing, playing shamisen. The jardiniere has open worked feets, created in the shape of roots resp. wood or tree stumps. Inside a matching, removable copper inlay. Marked, made by WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik), Germany, about 1900.
