Grace in porcelain - Goldscheider Vienna ‘Reclining Borzoi’ (designed by A.D. Rosé around 1913/14)
This extraordinary porcelain figurine from Goldscheider Vienna captures timeless grace. Designed by Albert Dominique Rosé around 1913/14, it depicts a reclining borzoi - majestic, yet relaxed, with front paws overlapping and fine, naturalistic detail.
Made between 1922 and 1941, this fine piece bears the black stamp mark and the addition ‘Made in Austria’, accompanied by the model number 4535-2077 and brush marks. The light-coloured body is decorated with an underglaze decoration that lends the greyhound a lively elegance.
With a length of 32 cm and a height of 13 cm, the figurine is in very good condition - an impressive collector's item for lovers of classical porcelain art and fine animal depictions.
