The topaz is a valuable and popular gem. The clear stone can take on a yellow, pink-red to brown-red, violet, light blue and light green color due to the natural addition of other elements. The blue topaz is particularly popular and valued.

Beautiful bangle from the 1980s in yellow and white gold. One-piece shape that is opened or closed on the front part. Ribbon-shaped hoop, in the middle with an embedded stripe in white gold, in which small brilliant-cut diamonds were used for the closure. Front part decorated with a rectangular blue topaz in a cushion cut in a frame setting and additional decorations with sapphires in cabouchon cut. Marked with the mark of an unknown goldsmith (HW) and salary stamp 585.
