Ernst Treusch came from an old family of goldsmiths in Hanau. After his apprenticeship as a merchant, he acquired a jewellery business in Leipzig in 1909. Important silversmiths such as Willi Stoll, Erna Zarges-Dürr and Robert Fischer worked in his workshop. Elegant cocktail shaker in solid 925/- silver from the Art Deco of the 1925/30s. Slightly conical body with rounded shoulder, straight cylindrical neck with mount, high slip lid. Gilded interior. Marked, made around 1925/30 in the silver manufactory Bruckmann & Söhne in Heilbronn. Designed and distributed by Ernst Treusch, Leipzig. Excellent condition, collectible!
