This beautiful garnet necklace from the late Biedermeier period is a real piece of jewellery. The necklace is made of tombac, a pewter-bronze alloy. The red garnet stones in the old cut have been grouped into large and small blossoms and mounted together in the course. The five largest blossoms in the décolleté area have additional suspensions in the shape of hearts or drops. The clasp is a spring ring.

The necklace was made around 1860 and is in excellent condition. The garnet stones are intact and sparkle in their deep red colour. The tombac setting is flawless.
