Antique link necklace in 835/- silver
The filigree technique is an ancient, ornamental wire-bending technique that has been known for over 2000 years. It creates delicate jewellery pieces that look like they have been spun, using fine wires that are bent and placed in patterns with each other or soldered onto a base. The delicate gold and silver work is handcrafted.
Beautiful, delicate necklace in filigree technique made of silver wire. The richly openwork elements of curled wire in the shape of abstract butterflies have been joined together with silver eyelets. Spring ring clasp. Made around 1915, excellent condition.
