Necklace of silver 835/-, first half of the 20th century
This expressive silver necklace in Art Deco style was probably made in Germany around 1925. The floral features of this antique piece of jewellery are typical of this period. The tendrils and rocailles are richly set with marcasites. These beautiful gemstones, which are extracted as a mineral, were often used in the 1920s and 1930s. The elements are attached to an S-chain with a spring ring clasp.
