Necklace with onyx in 835 / - silver
In ancient times and also in the Middle Ages, onyx was said to have magical properties and this is why it was often processed into amulets and healing stones. The stone, which appears in white and black layers, was also often used for gems.
Elegant necklace from the Art Deco period. On a long-link anchor chain hang three rectangular, openwork elements set with marcasites, which frame a large, cushion-cut faceted black onyx. The necklace can be closed with a spring ring clasp. Marked with the mark of an unknown silversmith. Made around 1930.
