In the late Art Deco period around 1930, beautiful large pieces of jewellery were created in silver and gold, set with striking faceted gemstones. The wide frame has a strictly geometric or abstract design. The shape is mostly oval, highly rectangular or with cut corners.
Large, partly openwork ring with natural yellow-brown topaz. High rectangular shape with cut corners. In the centre a faceted natural topaz in a bezel setting, surrounded by a frame with abstract floral and geometric decoration. Open back. Marbled, master's mark unknown. Probably Pforzheim. Made around 1925/30. Condition very good.
