Sapphire light & diamond sparkle – Art Deco earrings made of gold, platinum & precious stones
An artistic masterpiece from the early 20th century: this exquisite pair of Art Deco drop earrings captivates with its harmonious combination of precious materials, stylised geometry and refined elegance.
Made around 1925 from high-quality 750 yellow gold and platinum, the movable, 4.3 cm long earrings reflect the characteristic design of the time – clear, linear and at the same time preciously playful. While the body is made of warm gold, the cool platinum front provides the perfect backdrop for the multifaceted sparkle of the diamonds and the deep blue intensity of the sapphires.
A slender bar hangs from filigree clasps decorated with small diamond-set bows, merging into a rhombus-shaped main motif. This is finely openworked, set centrally with an old-cut diamond of approx. 0.10 ct and surrounded by small diamond roses. Three elegant, triangular-faceted sapphires add colourful accents in a noble blue.
The gemstones are set in classic grain or millegrain settings – a technique that optimally reflects the light and creates an elegant interplay of brilliance and depth.
An exquisite piece of jewellery in excellent condition for lovers of classic goldsmithing – perfect for galas, weddings or as an expressive style statement in everyday life.
