Niello, or tula, refers to an ornamentation on silver, rarely gold, consisting of engraved drawings or drawings pressed in through steel plates and filled with a black colour mass.
Antique mirror medallion in silver and niello decoration in typical Art Deco style. Made around 1920/30, maker's mark not legible. Additional mark on the chain eyelet by the jeweller Hans Puhm in Greifswald. Condition very good. Without chain.
