Spice spreaders are handy containers for portioning spices. Especially salt and pepper shakers are indispensable in any household. Before the invention of the spreader, spices such as salt and pepper were kept in a bowl or saline. Only at the end of the 19th century (1893) Henry Thacker received the patent of the spreader - the mechanism to determine the dispensability and portioning of the spices by the spreader.
Often, salt and pepper shakers were made in the same design. So also with this special pair. Made of silver and decorated with floral ornamtik, they are a real eye-catcher. The glasses are made in royal blue. Production unknown.
