Rarely beautiful teapot in sterling silver925/- from the reign of William IV in England circa 1830. Squat gourd form on four shell-crowned scroll feet. Segmented, domed hinged lid with pumpkin head. Snail handle with insulators and finial with pumpkin leaves. Elegantly shaped spout. Family crest with a unicorn and signed on the base for Rev. Oswald Master at Cold Norton in Essex 1863. Made by the renowned silversmiths of Edward, Edward junior, John & William Barnard, London 1831. Condition very good, museum and collectible.
