Antique pendant in silver with many gemstones
In the years 1875-96, magnificent pieces of jewellery in the Renaissance style were created in Pforzheim. They are characterised by a particular richness of detail and masterly workmanship. These jewellery pieces, which are sought after today, come mainly from the house of the Pforzheim jewellery manufacturer Hermann Bauer, who thus received the nickname "Renaissance-Bauer".
Magnificent pendant in Renaissance style. Composed of intricately designed ornamental and volute elements set with faceted citrines and round tourmaline cabochons and small pearls. The back is richly openworked and finely chased. The jewel is not stamped, but the type and quality of the workmanship allow an attribution to the Pforzheim jewellery manufactory of Hermann Bauer. Made around 1870/80. Incl. chain. Excellent condition, collectible!
