This exceptional pendant from the 19th century is a truly historic piece of jewellery. Made of tombac, a special copper-zinc alloy prized for its durability and warm lustre, it presents itself with a multitude of dark red garnet stones in various settings.
An eye-catcher is the flower-shaped oval rosette adorned with numerous old-cut Bohemian garnet stones. This special type of cut gives the stones a special depth and brilliance. The outer rim of the pendant is set with stones in architrave settings, while the inner stones are set in claw settings. This richly detailed design gives the pendant a special three-dimensionality and a unique optical depth.
The item of jewellery is elegantly complemented by a chain made of 925 gold-plated silver, which gives the pendant an additional touch of luxury. Despite its age, the pendant is in very good condition, with a beautiful patina that underlines its historical origin. Fortunately, all the stones are also still present.
This piece of jewellery is not only a testimony to master craftsmanship from times gone by, but also a wonderful heirloom that can be passed down from generation to generation with love and care. A fascinating piece of history that transports the charm and elegance of the 19th century into the present day.
