This KPM presentation cup with saucer, made between 1837 and 1844, is a masterpiece of the Berlin porcelain manufactory. This splendid KPM presentation cup and saucer from the famous Berlin manufactory, made between 1837 and 1844, is a masterpiece of porcelain art. Characterised by the blue sceptre mark with the KPM addition and painter's signature, it embodies the high level of craftsmanship of the time. The cup in a faceted bell shape with a wavy mouth impresses with its polychrome overglaze painting and richly ornamented gold decoration, which is preserved in almost flawless condition.
The mint green background forms the perfect stage for the skilfully designed rose cartouches, which blossom in bright red. Every detail of this showpiece cup has been carefully crafted - from the multi-segmented wall to the fine gilding, which shows only minimal signs of age and thus emphasises the charm of the period. The matching saucer blends seamlessly into the elegant overall picture and completes this precious ensemble. The set is in excellent condition, with no damage or chips.
