After the organic and floral jewellery forms of the first half of the 20th century, the preference for geometric jewellery forms arose again in the 1950/60s. Often these were also worked in white gold.
Beautiful and precious engagement ring in a very fancy, abstract design. The central diamond of approx. 0.5 ct is held securely in 6 lobes. It is embedded by four brilliant-cut diamonds on one side and six brilliant-cut diamonds on the opposite side. The split ring rail gives it a lively yet timeless look. Finest goldsmith work from around 1950/60, maker unknown.
