Charming writing set with inlayed ink well. In the shape of a huge leaf, decorated with small leaves, tendrils and flowers. Ink well with floral hinged lid and a transpartent removable glass inlay. Signed, made by Jean Garnier (1853- appr. 1910), a famous french artist, especially well known for his bronze and pewter figures and vessels. Created about 1900. Genuine condition with signs of use at the rim and ink rest in the well.
