Fancy Art Deco Sapphire and Diamond Earrings in Gold and Platinum, probably England circa 1920.
This stunning pair of Edwardian sapphire and diamond earrings are finely crafted and have been shaped like a lattice drop. They consist of a symmetrical Art Deco design embellished with old cut diamonds and diamond roses in an openwork ornate scroll decoration. They are further accented with an impressive display of cuboid cut natural sapphires, an old cut larger diamond has been centrally set in a moveable manner.
The stones are set in platinum, based on a 750/- yellow gold layer. The earrings are hinged to gold hoops set with platinum and diamond roses.
Marked with 18 K. Condition excellent, museum quality!
