Antique silver from our inventory
After the early death of both parents (1859 and 1863), Heinrich Mau took over their company at the age of 20 and, especially after 1871, expanded it into a company that operates throughout Germany to produce the finest silverware and jewelry creations.
In keeping with the spirit of the times, Heinrich Mau was able to receive several coveted titles during these years. He became a supplier to the royal ducal-Saxony-Altenburg court in 1882, the royal ducal-Mecklenburg-Schwerin court supplier in 1882, and finally in 1894 (alongside Moritz Elimeyer) royal Saxon court jeweler. He also had the title of a K.K. Chamber jeweler.
Beautiful cigarette case by Heinrich Mau around 1890, filled with transparent gold-colored enamel over a guilloche background. Gilded inside. On the outside improper repair of the enamel, but not necessarily annoying. Otherwise in good, usable condition.
