Floral jewelry has always been very popular with women. Especially in Art Nouveau and Art Deco there are numerous creations with elements from the plant world, sometimes more and sometimes less abstracted and set with precious stones and pearls. The term "flora" is derived from the Latin name of the Roman goddess of flowers and youth.
Beautiful openwork brooch with a floral decor. Querovale shape, in a knotty frame two flowers with leaves were arranged in a fan shape and set with turquoises. Back with paperback. Unmarked, probably around 1900. Very good condition.
