Antique Tea Caddy in 925/- Sterling Silver
Reynolds Angels is the name of a portrait painting by Sir Joshua Reynolds, first exhibited in 1787. The painting shows the head of five-year-old Lady Frances Gordon from five different angles. She sat for Reynolds in July and August 1786 and again in March 1787.
Beautiful sterling silver tea caddy with the "Reynold Angels" motif. Cylindrical body with plug-in lid. Wall and domed, bossed lid with lavish relief decoration. Marked, made in 1902 by the silver manufacturer William Comyns & Son Ltd. in London. Used, very good condition, collectible!
