A humidor has the task of storing your cigars at a constant humidity and air temperature. The changing ambient air influences the aroma of your cigars. That is why a humidor is indispensable for longer storage. The interior is usually made of cedar wood. This promotes aroma development and keeps pests away at the same time.
Simple tabatiere, or humidor for cigars from the Art Deco period around 1930. The rectangular box with hinged lid was made of solid silver and lined with cedar wood on the inside so that the cigars can "breathe". The base was additionally fitted with leather on the outside. The condition is good with few signs of use. No defects. Made by Seybold & Hirschauer in Schwäbisch Gmünd around 1930.
