Gravy boat in silver 800/- from the Historism period
An absolutely magnificent and unique silver gravy boat with an oval bulbous body and short spout, a lion's head handle, three griffins with outstretched wings as stand feet and a coat of arms of the Ambrose O'Ferall family from Ireland. (Lit.: Fairbairn's Book of Crests, p. 397).
Apocryphal French marks and executed in Hanau, by Schleissner & Söhne in Germany around 1880, probably as a commission.
